This vehicle was purchased due to price and finance rate available. Overall perceived reliability based upon past experience, overall economy over the life of the vehicle and vehicle durability came into play.The built in safety features were a big plus also. My auto insurance company, as do some others, rate the 2015 Honda Civic a best bet for safety. The 2015 Honda Civic Ex had a great many features unavailable in other vehicles or if they were available, came at a higher price point (lane watch camera among them, 7 inch display screen for sound and display for backup camera, HDMI interface among others).This is the first new car i have purchased in about 22 years (Volvo 940 was the last one) and I hope this vehicle proves to be as reliable as the last new car i purchased.

Overall pleased with purchase of 2015 Civic EX. Nice features for the price, some of which aren't available on higher priced makes/models. Very good fit and finish. Wish the carpet was a bit "nicer/plusher". So far, this vehicle has met and exceeded expectations.

Purchased a 2015 Civic to get something that was more fuel efficient than the Suv I was driving when a job change increased the commute from 12 miles one way to 30 miles one way. Fuel costs went up too much. Former Suv got 19 mpg new civic is anywhere from 34-38mpg. I also like the camera on the passenger mirror to help spot anything in the blind spot on the vehicle. Vehicle is comfortable and has a lot of features for the money spent. The Civic was a leftover 2015 and while I would have liked the newer body style Civic, the deal including the 0.9 percent finance rate, was not available on the 2016. The Civic EX I purchased is not a luxury car nor did I expect it to be. It is comfortable for my family and I around town and holds a decent amount of items in the trunk. Fuel mileage has been good with a low of 29 in the winter to a high of 42 on a trip with the a/c on. I have put over 11,000 miles on it in my 8 months of ownership and only been to the dealership once and that was for the first service. The car is easy to drive and the CVT transmission "feels" good. Figuring out the audio and synching my phone up took a bit longer than expected but it works ok. Also, wish the radio had a knob to adjust volume instead of a touchscreen slider. While I can and do use the steering wheel volume control, the knob would be a good feature. Also I do wish for more driver seat adjustment features. Ability to do more than fore/aft and height would be nice. Tilting the front and back of the seat cushion bottom would be nice. Features you get with a power seat. Minor thing. Overall a very good compact car.
